My Cleaning And Maintenance Kits

Some of you may remember my previous post about my doll cleaning kit set up. Since then I have made improvements and split things off into two separate kits. A cleaning kit for immediate post session cleaning / drying needs and a maintenance kit for mid term care items and some miscellaneous stuff. I have creatively dub them Cleaning Kit - MK2 and Maintenance Kit - MK1. Since this is the second evolution of the cleaning kit and the first version of the maintenance kit.

Cleaning Kit - MK2 Contents:

C: Cleaning douche

This is just the one that comes in the Tantaly cleaning kit. Like with the drying rods make sure it's fully dry before storage.

D: Small length of air tubing

This is the PVC air tubing that came with my aquarium air pump. I cut it down to a more convenient size, install the check valve (so I can place the pump at any orientation), and completely covered all exposed areas with non-adhesive heat shrink tubing. On the side that gets inserted into the doll, the heat shrink tubing extends past the end of the PVC to prevent any chance of interaction between the PVC and TPE. I do have several feet of doll safe vinyl tubing, but the PVC tubing is a better quality and the heat shrink tubing prevents kinking.

E: Rechargeable aquarium air pump

This is a small form factor aquarium air pump. It's not as effective as the larger multiple air tube units that many in our community use. But having it be USB-C rechargeable and compact makes this convenient to use without having to be next one outlet the entire time you're drying. I realize now that I should also probably add a small USB-C charging cord. I'll get on that once this post clears moderation.

F: Extra lube

I don't particularly care for this variety of lube, it dries out really quickly. But it's in a compact bottle with a spritzer style nozzle. It's always good to have a backup because it's not feasible to use a doll dry. My primary lube is stored elsewhere because it's in a 32 oz bottle with a soap dispenser style top.

G: 5 volt, 1 amp USB-A power adapter

Specifically for the UV heating rod. This particular amperage is not very common on USB power adapters these days, but we have credible reports of people melting the inside of their dolls with their UV rods after a few minutes when using their regular USB power adapters. I made sure to get the correct adapter as a precaution.

H: Tantaly UV heating rod

I very rarely use this so I may end up moving the power adapter and heating rod over to the maintenance kit. As long as you watch it carefully and run it on a strict timer, it can be a nice treat for special sessions. Though it's usually not worth the time and effort in my opinion. I still have various tests planned for the heating rod so at least this way it's easily accessible.

I: Notebook and pen

This is just a cheap Rite in the Rain knock off fliptop with a keychain pen. I use it to log cleaning and maintenance information. Each doll has a page with a chart for logging. After a session, I mark if a doll got a full water immersion wash, got powdered, oiled or if I have any other miscellaneous notes. It's a good way to keep track of trends and document longevity.

J: Microfiber towel (blue)

This is one of my favorite compact microfiber towels. It's large enough that it can be laid down on a surface to protect an ass doll. But not so large that it gets in the way. It's also perfect for drying Mia inserts. I have two bath towel sized microfiber that I keep folded in the main compartment of the storage bag (on the top of the styrofoam) that are great for discreetly caring the doll after a session and for drying. When rolled up they're allso great for propping up the doll for a more advantageous hole position.

K: Microfiber towel (gray)

This is a spare microfiber towel. Frankly I'm not super happy with the performance. It came in a value pack and it notably doesn't work as well as my other microfiber towels. It often stuffed inside the large hollow inside Mia were inserts go to aid with drying.

Maintenance Kit - MK1 Contents:

D: Tantaly powder brush

This was the one that was sent out as part of the summer sale. It's not strictly necessary, but it does make powdering easier. Keeping the box and bristle cover keeps nice and intact no risk of damaging the bristles if the contents of the rest of the kit jostle around.

E: Lube shooter

The one that comes in the Tantaly cleaning kit. Since my primary lube has a soap dispenser style cap, this lube shooter is unnecessary so it lives in the maintenance kit as a miscellaneous item.

F: Bag full of silicone cock rings

After seeing many members of this community have good luck with cock rings, I picked up a set. This is likely my inexperience with them talking but I didn't find them to be all that helpful. So it lives in the kit as a just in case item and to keep everything all nice and consolidated.

G: Microfiber towels (blue and dark gray)

These came with the microfiber towel value pack that I wasn't too impressed with. Even though the performance doesn't meet my typical standards, towels are always handy so in the kit they go.

For hard cases, I used some extra ones I had on hand. These are not good quality cases, I don't trust with more sensitive equipment which makes them perfect for storing these cleaning and maintenance kits. When I was trying to use these as regular equipment cases, I made various minor modifications to them to make them a little bit more functional. Ultimately it wasn't really worth the effort. But it does make for a distinctive looking case.
