When Freya was announced, there was a lot of excitement as time went on there were concerns about her size and weight. More so that the final model was too small!

After spending time with Freya, I can confidently say she delivers in ways that surprised me.

Let me walk you through my thoughts and OPINIONS (yes, these are all just my opinions nothing more!).

Overall, I made this review as I hope it can aid anyone struggling to make a purchase decision this upcoming Black Friday! I also am just excited to give my thoughts on Tantaly's latest addition!

Enough of that! Let’s get into the review!

Out The Box

Let’s start with the packaging. If you ever purchased a Tantaly product you already know they do a great job at keeping things discreet, and Freya’s box was no different.

For those hesitant about buying a torso of this size… No worries! The outer layer doesn’t scream, “Hey, look what’s in the BOX!” which I appreciate. But…the box that arrives is pretty big. If you are worried about drawing attention tell roommates it’s a Cabinet or Industrial Printer🤣! It’s also pretty heavy.

Inside, they included a black storage box/bag—a perfect touch for keeping the model protected and out of sight when not in use. This is especially great for storage due-to the Tantabosom technology which we will get to later.

So, when I opened the case, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite Freya being smaller than originally projected, at first sight her proportions were really fantastic. The curves? A+.

I’ll admit, in some of the promo pictures the model looked a bit off in size and shape, but in person, wow she looks proportional, natural and quite attractive.

Right out of the gate, Tantaly’s attention to detail stood out.

Pros

1. Beautifully Proportioned and Realistic Curves and Skin

Natural and Balanced: as I mentioned above, Freya’s design is striking in person. Her curves are soft, full, and really natural.

When compared to Tantaly’s Monroe or Nicole’s curves, Freya’s curves are less exaggerated and more within the means of a naturally curvy chubby woman. (incoming Scooby Doo, Reference) Monroe and Nicole are Bombshells like say Daphne, with Freya being the girl next door, with curves like Velma. Oh you can see it can't you! The cosplay scenarios OMG!

Bottom line: If your thing is THICC Natural Chicks, then FREYA is your thing.

Soft Skin and Tantabosom: Tantaly’s craftsmanship shines here. The skin was soft, and the texture and pores were super realistic. Even the folds and creases when bending the joints added to the visual. I ❤️ how the hip fat bunches up so realistically when the thighs are moved.

But the true hero is the Tantabosom technology. Holy shit is it a game-changer, adding realism and potential for massive amounts of movement (OMG the movement) that enhances the immersive experience more than you can imagined. BTW, I'm not a boob guy, but from this day forth I stand converted! Thank You Freya!

The BBW Look: I love me a Thicc Goth Mami. And For that, I really appreciated Freya's belly; it feels so feminine and, might I say, relatable.

FYI- I own an Eva, and boy is it fun to admire her bodacious proportions, which resemble an Instagram Model with a BBL. However, I’m not shaming BBLs, as they can be visually appealing. Its just that, Freya's more natural shape and curves was so refreshing to see, further adding to her realism.

2. Size and Weight

At 57 lbs, Freya might scare some individuals away. Probably not the ones who wanted her to be bigger and heavier, but many others who were wary of purchasing larger torsos.

For me her weight didn't pose much of a challenge. Thanks to her proportions, the weight distribution is excellent, making her easier to move around than you’d expect. Though, If you have back issues I would stay away from a torso of this size and weight.

Compared to other Tantaly models like Eva (which is about 5 pounds lighter), Freya was far less awkward to move around despite being heavier thanks to a more balanced weight distribution.

3. Joints and Skeleton

Freya’s internal joints are sturdy. While they are stiff at first, I expect them to loosen up over time with regular use. I was most impressed with the joints that adjust the spine. She is my first full torso and I wasn't expecting that. So yes She can achieve the Arch!!!

Cons

1. Joint Stiffness• Adjusting Freya’s joints takes effort, especially out of the box. Moving her legs required more force than I anticipated, which occasionally strained my shoulders and arms. Basically, I hurt my joints trying to move her joints. While this should ease up over time, it’s something to keep in mind. Silver lining, my arms look more toned today!

2. Leg Bend weird• Freya’s legs don’t always bend naturally, and opening them horizontally creates a noticeable curve in the thighs.

This isn’t unique to Freya, as I’ve seen it in other Tantaly torsos like Miki, but it’s more pronounced here due to her fuller proportions and size. Models like Eva have joints that bend on a more natural axis.

Opportunities for Improvement

Curves: Don’t get me wrong, Freya’s curves are fantastic, but I would’ve loved to see them pushed even further, staying closer to the working molds previewed during development. If we are buying BBW we want a BBW. While Freya’s BBW status can be debated, she definitely can be classified as Plus-size.

I would have liked a more drastic waist to hip ratio. I also would like to have see more folds and rolls around the hips and back to sell the BBW aesthetic more. I like what was done on Freya but I would’ve like it to go further. Freya is “Commercial Production BBW” wherein I’d like to Tantaly to make an “Amateur Shaky shot IPhone type of BBW… with cellulite! But I’m Getting ahead of my self.

TantaButt Technology: While the Tantabosom tech is incredible, adding Tantabutt tech would’ve elevated Freya even further making her a no brainer purchase. I understand the weight constraints, but it’s worth considering for future 2.0 model.

Bigger more Pronounced Butt: Freya’s rear is one of the biggest I’ve seen on Tantaly’s full torsos but it is still less pronounced compared to models like Daisy or Eva. A larger butt would have been welcomed to make up for a lack of TantaButt technology.

With that said, Despite Freya being one of the most BBW dolls I have seen, her proportions could've been pushed more. I think the original development molds nailed it.

Last and certainly the least as this is a nit-pick

Belly Button: Freya’s Belly button can be lowered a bit. Despite it resting so high I find her stomach to be quite appealing overall.

So Who Is Freya For?

Fans of Naturally Curvy Figures: If you’re drawn to natural curves, and are a fan of women like Sophia Lee, Natasha Nice, Felicia Clover, Siri Dhal well then Freya is for you. If you don’t know who Felicia Clover and Natasha Nice is look them up. If you like what you see, purchase Freya.

First-Time Buyers of a Full Scale Torso: If you’re considering your first full-sized torso, Freya strikes a great balance between size, weight, and usability.

Final Thoughts

Freya stands out as one of Tantaly’s more thoughtful and bold designs. Her proportions and size are a major win, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much hotter she looks in person. If you’re impressed by the pictures, trust me—you’ll be even happier when she arrives.

Those seeking a true Thicc Torso will find Freya a fantastic addition to their collection, especially if they previously preferred models like Monroe or Nicole.

To me Freya is a bold refreshing statement of what Tantaly can achieve. While there’s room for improvement in certain areas, her overall design, proportions, and lifelike texture make her an excellent choice for anyone looking to add a chubby chica to their collection.

I’ve yet to fully explore her potential (wink, wink) but plan to as we are still getting to know each other LOL!

But I assure you ohhh weeeee….hole placement, 🐱shape look awesome.

Also Freya is just a pleasure to look at and well… it’s like a new pair of sneakers, you don’t want to crease them until a special occasion 😂!

But yeah if you don't know by now, I highly recommended Freya for fans of curvy, realistic designs!
